Academic Requirements

To be accepted to the Institute for G.O.D, you must have:

  • Maintained a 2.5 GPA through high school and any previous colleges.

We highly recommend students take the ACT/SAT and submit their scores as a part of their application. Post-COVID, we do not require students to test due to the changing nature of testing in various states. If we do receive scores, we look for a minimum score of:

  • 21 on the ACT OR (send to school code 7954)*

  • 1000 on the SAT (send to school code 7650)*

*Failure to meet a requirement does not guarantee denial. Each application will be evaluated on an individual basis.

Homeschool students are welcome at the Institute for G.O.D., presuming their homeschooling was completed per the state's applicable laws. For academic scholarships to be awarded to home-schooled students, academic success must be verified via a secondary source (ACT/SAT, college courses, etc.).

Admissions Decisions

Acceptance or denial is communicated to applicants within two weeks of submitting the complete application.

International Student Applications

The Institute does not provide student visas or a means to study internationally.

All “international” applications refer to online studies with potential participation at a ministry study site. Ministry study sites are available in The Philippines, El Salvador, Uganda, and India.

International (online) applicants must still submit verification of completion of secondary or postsecondary schools. If verification of completion is unavailable, students must pass the Duolingo English Test and complete at least six units in a postsecondary institution. These units can be completed at The Institute for GOD as individual non-degree courses that can be applied towards a degree after full admission to the college.

In some situations, we may request an in-person or virtual interview to assess English language proficiency further.

The Duolingo English Test is an online English proficiency test that can be taken on-demand in under an hour for only $59. The test is taken via a computer with a camera and includes a proficiency score, video interview, and writing sample, which are shared with The Institute for G.O.D. Int’l when you send your results. Certified results are available within 48 hours of the test session.
